Case Study: Ikano Group achieves CSRD readiness with IBM Envizi ESG Suite

Ikano Group, a multinational conglomerate with businesses spanning retail, banking, real estate and more, needed a way to streamline complex ESG data gathering and reporting to prepare for new EU CSRD and ESRS requirements. Working with IBM and its own business partner, Ikano Insight, the company faced the challenge of coordinating audit-ready sustainability reporting across six diverse businesses on three continents.

IBM, together with Ikano Insight, implemented the IBM Envizi ESG Suite and IBM Garage methodology to build a group-wide ESG data strategy, automate data capture, and standardize reporting workflows. The result is 83 active users, 15,685 data types tracked, and an expected savings of thousands of manhours by streamlining reporting; the platform also improved data traceability, audit readiness, and confidence in emissions and sustainability metrics.
