Case Study: Shuttle Holdings achieves fast, secure digital asset access with IBM

A IBM Case Study

Preview of the Shuttle Holdings Case Study

Powering the booming smart-contracts market with fast, secure access to digital assets

Shuttle Holdings’ Digital Asset Custody Services (DACS) identified a gap in the fast-growing crypto-asset market: businesses needed digital asset storage and transaction capabilities that were both highly secure and easy to access. Working with IBM, DACS aimed to build a trusted custody platform that could protect assets without the delays and tradeoffs of cold storage or third-party wallets.

IBM helped DACS develop the platform on IBM LinuxONE servers and IBM Hyper Protect Virtual Servers, creating a trusted execution environment with pervasive encryption and strong hardware security. The result was a first-of-its-kind digital asset servicing platform that protects customers’ assets from theft, enables near-instant access for higher trading volumes, and accelerated development enough to help DACS pursue markets worth more than USD 100 million.
