Cinedigm, a global digital entertainment distributor, needed a faster, more reliable way to move huge media files from independent producers to partner platforms and between its own offices. Shipping hard drives and using FTP were too slow, costly, and unreliable for full-length HD films and other high-resolution content, especially as the company grew.

IBM implemented Aspera solutions, including IBM Aspera Connect Server and IBM Aspera Point-to-Point Client, to speed high-volume file transfers across Cinedigm’s workflow. As a result, Cinedigm can send or receive 40–90 GB files in under two hours instead of waiting a day or more for physical shipments, while also gaining better monitoring, control, and scalability.
