A IBM Case Study
CK Enerji, Turkey’s second-largest electric utility group, needed to modernize inherited IT support and asset management after privatization. Its legacy, decentralized processes lacked standardization, documentation, and visibility, making it hard for IBM to help CK Enerji provide consistent support across thousands of devices and employees.
IBM implemented IBM Multivendor Support Services and IBM Maximo to create a single point of contact for IT requests and a centralized, automated system for tracking IT assets. The result was the elimination of the cost of a 15-person support team, improved responsiveness and service quality, and full visibility into IT assets; CK Enerji also reported that the environment stabilized within 3–5 months, with additional savings of 10–15% per year expected.
