Preview of the Nobo Automotive Systems Case Study

Nobo Technologies joins hands with IBM to co-create a new generation of digital R&D management that empowers future vehicle design

Nobo Automotive Systems Co., Ltd. faced growing complexity in automotive R&D as it scaled rapidly, with manual, offline processes making requirements, testing, and traceability hard to manage. The company needed a more collaborative, standardized approach to software development and compliance, and turned to IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM) to support its digital R&D transformation.

IBM worked with Nobo Automotive Systems to deploy IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management and redesign its R&D workflows into an integrated digital platform. The result was 11 online business processes, about 70 forms, and more than 80% of ASPICE processes moved online, with end-to-end requirements and test traceability and integrations across Jira, DingTalk, Gerrit, NPCP, and Sonarqube. IBM also helped Nobo target a 10% reduction in cost investment while improving reporting, test visibility, and development efficiency.
