FAW-Volkswagen faced rising customer expectations for a more dynamic, personalized digital experience and needed to modernize its corporate website. Working with IBM Consulting, the automaker set out to improve user engagement, streamline information access, and better connect online visitors with its brands, services, and broader customer journey.
IBM Consulting redesigned and relaunched the official website using IBM Design Thinking, AI tools, and a more product-based operating model to enable personalized content, cross-site search, data sharing, and faster no-code publishing. The new site launched on 27 March 2024 and delivered measurable gains: 84,000 visits on launch day, 18 times the previous level, and an average visit time of 136 seconds, 40 times higher than before.
