Micro Strategies protects client data from corruption with various IBM technologies

Micro Strategies, an IBM Business Partner and IT solutions provider, was asked by a fast-growing mortgage lender to find a proactive way to protect sensitive financial data from ransomware. The customer had a heterogeneous environment spanning IBM Power/AIX and x86 VMware systems, and needed a single solution to reduce risk, speed recovery, and avoid the high costs of downtime and data loss.

Micro Strategies implemented CyberVault using IBM FlashSystem 7200, IBM Spectrum Virtualize, IBM Storage Insights, and IBM Power, with automation from Red Hat Ansible. IBM’s technologies created an isolated, secure data vault and improved monitoring and recovery readiness, reducing the client’s potential ransomware exposure from USD 20 million per day and helping position the lender for at least 20% growth and 1,200+ new hires.
