A IBM Case Study
Andhra Paper Limited, a major paper and pulp manufacturer, needed to move its mission-critical SAP ERP systems from its US parent to India while minimizing downtime, risk, and cost. Because its operations run around the clock and its existing SAP data was behind strict SOC access controls, the company turned to IBM and IBM Cloud for a secure, low-disruption migration path.
IBM helped Andhra Paper transfer more than 10 TB of SAP data over 9,000 miles using encrypted cloud connectivity and then run its SAP environment through Enterprise Application Managed Services for SAP Solutions on IBM Cloud. The result was a smoother transition with minimal business disruption, avoidance of five IT FTEs, and up to 10% faster month-end closing; IBM also supported the move to SAP S/4HANA, enabling better financial insight, stronger controls, and greater operational efficiency.
