Manufacturer moves in lockstep with new partner to drive global growth

Raj Petro, a petroleum and lubricant manufacturer and a Brenntag Group company, needed to align its SAP ERP systems with new joint venture requirements for stricter compliance, more frequent financial reporting, and stronger disaster recovery. The company was also preparing for a headquarters move and wanted a faster, lower-cost alternative to building new on-premises infrastructure, so it turned to IBM and its managed services on IBM Cloud.

IBM implemented Enterprise Application Managed Services for SAP Solutions on IBM Cloud, moving Raj Petro’s mission-critical SAP systems from an on-premises data center to a highly available cloud environment. The project was completed in just 60 days and delivered clear measurable gains: recovery point objective improved to under 15 minutes, recovery time objective dropped to less than four hours, and Raj Petro reported record-breaking revenues while gaining better compliance, high availability, and a smoother path to SAP S/4HANA.
