Case Study: ForceManager achieves 18% sales growth and 80% app adoption with IBM Cloud and Watson

A IBM Case Study

Preview of the ForceManager Case Study

Leverages cognitive capabilities of IBM into its mobile sales assistant app

ForceManager, a mobile CRM provider, faced the common field‑sales challenge of reps losing selling time to manual CRM tasks—scheduling, logging interactions and preparing pitches—so it partnered with IBM to add AI capabilities using IBM Cloud and IBM Watson services. The goal was to put an AI personal assistant in reps’ pockets to free up time for customer-facing activity and give managers real‑time pipeline visibility.

Working with IBM, ForceManager integrated Watson Conversation, Speech to Text, Text to Speech, Natural Language Classifier and Tone Analyzer on IBM Cloud to deliver hands‑free voice commands, automatic transcription, emotion detection and on‑the‑move account briefings. The IBM‑powered solution drove an 80% app adoption rate, roughly 20% higher sales activity/productivity for reps and an 18% increase in sales for users, while enabling reps to convert up to 30% of travel time into productive prep and recording.
