Learning shouldn’t be limited by technology

butic The New School needed a way to create a virtual learning space for architecture, construction, engineering, and technology students without relying on expensive physical workstations. To support global learners, butic worked with IBM Business Partner SimpleCloud and IBM Cloud to build a cloud-based environment that could deliver high-performance graphics and processing through thin-client devices.

IBM, through SimpleCloud and IBM Cloud Bare Metal Servers, implemented a fully managed virtual workstation solution hosted across global data centers. The result was a seamless learning platform that supported nearly 400 students in its first year, expanded reach across two continents, simplified license management, and reduced costs by eliminating hardware maintenance and energy expenses.
