Laying the foundation for packaging efficiency with IBM and SAP

Mondi, the global packaging and paper company, needed to support rapid growth in last-mile delivery packaging while advancing its sustainability goals and modernizing its core business systems. To do that, Mondi worked with IBM to move its global operations to SAP S/4HANA on a more resilient, high-performance platform.

IBM implemented SAP S/4HANA on IBM Power Systems and IBM FlashSystem storage, helping Mondi convert 40 factories across 15 countries in just eight months with no production disruption. The result included a 20% increase in end-user application performance, 100% uptime, and a scalable foundation supporting about 9 TB of monthly data growth, all while strengthening Mondi’s efficiency and sustainability efforts.
