Kuwait National Petroleum Co faced a major challenge when COVID-19 made physical document sharing risky and slowed critical interdepartmental communication. To keep memos and letters moving across the company, KNPC worked with IBM and used software based on IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation, including the Easy Memo application.
IBM helped KNPC digitize and automate memo processing across the organization, enabling electronic review, approval, signing, and storage. As a result, KNPC reduced memo cycle time from 5 days to under 3 hours, automated 26 core business processes, saved more than 607,740 sheets of paper, and cut internal correspondence time by about 75%.
