A IBM Case Study
The Keller Graduate School of Management, part of DeVry University, sought to identify students at risk of dropping out or underperforming in order to provide them with targeted support. To address this challenge, the school partnered with IBM and utilized IBM Analytics solutions, including IBM Cognos Business Intelligence and IBM SPSS Statistics, to gain deeper insights into student behavior.
IBM's solution involved building a 360-degree profile for each student by integrating data from admissions, courses, and surveys to break down information silos. This enabled the school to proactively identify at-risk students and automatically trigger interventions. As a result, Keller saw a 2% increase in student persistence rates, a 2% growth in student satisfaction scores, and reinforced its reputation for strong academic outcomes.
