Keeping pace with a global business

Komax Group, a global leader in automated wire processing with more than 3,300 employees across about 50 companies, needed a flexible way to modernize its business and support a distributed global user base. The company wanted a solution that could keep pace with its scale, unify its “global local” operations, and connect data across internal systems and services. Komax used IBM StepZen Graph Server to help address this challenge.

IBM implemented a GraphQL layer for Komax that connects PostgreSQL databases, microservices, and other back ends, enabling integration and consolidation of Komax Group companies on a single platform. Komax launched its new website in a matter of weeks and is now extending the approach to additional systems like Salesforce to support richer self-service experiences. The result is a faster, more efficient foundation for future digital business cases, with IBM StepZen helping Komax combine diverse data sources and services easily.
