ITV, one of the UK’s largest commercial television companies, needed a better way to manage fast-changing business processes that had previously been stored in static manuals and printed diagrams. The operations team struggled to keep current on scheduling, content delivery, ad validations, and other interdependent workflows, making it hard to avoid inefficiencies and on-air errors. IBM Blueworks Live was introduced to give ITV a cloud-based, always-current view of its processes.
IBM implemented IBM Blueworks Live so ITV could collaboratively model, access, and update processes from any browser, helping teams stay aligned across departments. The impact was significant: ITV reduced programming incidents from six per month in 2015 to fewer than one per month, and employees could learn the tool in less than an hour.
