Ferrovial, working with IBM, faced the challenge of managing asset lifecycles that span many years and involve numerous stakeholders. Without consistent enterprise asset management, the total cost of ownership for infrastructure at Heathrow Airport could rise significantly.

IBM supported Ferrovial’s CAM community with a business value assessment and proof-of-concept to integrate data across the asset lifecycle. The solution improved collaboration through end-to-end asset information flow, eliminated hundreds of hours of manual work by automating asset data management processes, and delivered an estimated 3% to 7% savings in lifecycle costs for new infrastructure.
