A IBM Case Study
Advantech Co., Ltd., an electronics company, was constructing new buildings and needed to meet strict government energy efficiency standards while avoiding the costly, reactive maintenance procedures of its existing facilities. To address this challenge, they worked with IBM to implement an intelligent asset management solution.
IBM's solution, built using IBM Maximo Asset Management and IBM TRIRIGA, used sensors to collect data and monitor equipment performance. This allowed Advantech to make near real-time adjustments to energy use and shift to a proactive maintenance model. As a result, IBM helped Advantech reduce energy consumption in its first new building by 15 percent below anticipated levels.
