Intas Pharmaceuticals Ltd. enables faster delivery to global clients with IBM, SAP and SUSE
Intas Pharmaceuticals Ltd. needed to speed up month-end sales reporting from 48 global subsidiaries so its manufacturing teams could plan production faster and reduce supply chain risk. Manual closing processes delayed access to key data by 10 to 15 days, threatening on-time delivery to global clients. To address this, Intas worked with IBM using SAP Business Suite powered by SAP HANA on IBM Power servers and IBM FlashSystem storage, along with SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications.
IBM implemented a high-availability, private-cloud platform with IBM Power H922 servers, IBM FlashSystem 5030 storage, and IBM Spectrum Protect for backups, helping Intas improve performance, reliability, and disaster recovery. The results included 67% faster month-end closing, reduction of the closing workflow from eight hours to one hour, a 25% cut in order backlog, and a 63% faster maintenance downtime window. IBM also helped reduce the SAP database from 6 TB to 780 GB.
