BHSF, a UK health and wellbeing provider, needed to keep its critical services available around the clock while reducing the risk of downtime and improving security as more claims moved from paper to digital. To support this transformation, BHSF worked with IBM and IBM Business Partner Meridian IT, using IBM Power Systems technology for its core applications.

IBM and Meridian IT moved BHSF’s IBM i workloads to a high-availability cloud environment with continuous replication, encryption, and data masking. The result was a 567% increase in claims processed per day, one FTE saved on IT management, and disaster recovery improved from 48 hours to just minutes, all while keeping IT costs flat.
