A IBM Case Study
The University of South Australia (UniSA) sought to gather innovative ideas from its global community to help shape its long-term strategic goals. To achieve this, they worked with IBM and utilized its IBM Jam technology to facilitate widespread participation in their planning process.
IBM's solution involved running a multi-day online event called UniJam, which engaged over 8,000 participants. The technology enabled the university to capture, discuss, and vote on crucial topics. As a direct result of the IBM Jam, nearly 60% of the strategic actions in the university's new five-year plan were derived from the event, leading to the implementation of a new learning model, a social innovation hub, and several campus improvement projects.
