IBM Cloud Pak for Integration prepares SURA Peru for the future

SURA Peru, part of Grupo SURA and a pension fund administrator in Lima, needed to modernize its application infrastructure while improving response times, shortening development cycles, and unifying security across on-premises and cloud environments. Because local regulations limited cloud adoption, SURA Peru turned to IBM and selected IBM Cloud Pak for Integration on Red Hat OpenShift to prepare for a future cloud-native model.

IBM implemented a containerized, microservices-based integration architecture with IBM App Connect Enterprise and IBM DataPower Gateway, supported by IBM Business Partner Synopsis. The results were significant: application response times dropped from over three seconds to 600 milliseconds, application deployments became 90% faster, and new applications could be deployed in less than half the previous time, while security was standardized through a single point of entry.
