A IBM Case Study
Bruce Power, a Canadian nuclear power utility, needed better data-management capabilities to track the health and performance of its operational assets and support predictive maintenance. Its heritage enterprise asset management system was limiting visibility, making it harder to improve reliability, efficiency, and safety. IBM helped Bruce Power address this challenge with IBM Maximo for Nuclear Power.
IBM Global Business Services deployed IBM Maximo for Nuclear Power to replace the outdated EAM platform. The solution gave Bruce Power real-time asset visibility, remote management capabilities, built-in analytics, and compliance reporting. As a result, Bruce Power improved operational insight and positioned itself to generate nuclear power more reliably, efficiently, and safely, while IBM expects further gains from Watson-powered predictive maintenance insights.
