How the National Healthcare Group empowered its employees to enhance patient services

National Healthcare Group (NHG), a leader in public healthcare in Singapore, needed to modernize its transaction-based HRIS to improve data access, mobile availability, and workforce decision-making across more than 20,000 healthcare professionals. Working with IBM and SAP, NHG launched iConnect@NHG to create a future-ready employee experience and support better collaboration and patient care.

IBM implemented the transformation in two phases using SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Workzone, IBM Process Taxonomy, and IBM Consulting. The result was strong adoption and measurable impact: over 21,000 employees logged in across 14 institutions, 19,000 activated the mobile app, the first phase reached a 95% login rate in two weeks, and the go-live campaign earned a 98% favorable rating. NHG also now handles more than 25,000 workflows monthly, with improved data accuracy, lower administrative overhead, and stronger workforce engagement.
