A IBM Case Study
Glen Dimplex, a global manufacturer of heating, ventilation, cooling and appliance products, needed to unify its fragmented systems and improve supply chain planning as it expanded across nearly 20 countries. With growing demand for sustainable energy equipment, the company struggled to get timely insights from its data and lacked real-time visibility into inventory, which made logistics optimization and on-time delivery more difficult. Glen Dimplex worked with IBM Consulting and adopted SAP S/4HANA to support its digital transformation program, Causeway.
IBM helped Glen Dimplex design integrated workflows, model processes with IBM Blueworks Live, and deploy a scalable cloud architecture on Microsoft Azure. The implementation delivered measurable gains, including 99% faster business intelligence reporting, a 43% reduction in manual order-entry work, a 20% increase in on-time and in-full deliveries, and a 30% reduction in IT maintenance windows. IBM also enabled faster month-end closing by three days and supported a global rollout across 18 regions.
