Case Study: Saint-Gobain CPS achieves real-time delivery transparency with IBM mobile apps

A IBM Case Study

Preview of the Saint-Gobain CPS Case Study

Giving clients real-time order status updates through innovative mobile apps

Saint-Gobain CPS, a global provider of construction products, faced a challenge with a lack of visibility into its delivery chain. Their clients demanded more accurate order status updates to avoid stock-outs and reduce capital requirements, but information was inaccessible between dispatch and arrival, often only coming to light after a problem occurred. To address this, they engaged IBM Global Business Services for a solution.

IBM designed and implemented a real-time digital platform using IBM MobileFirst Platform Foundation and IBM WebSphere Cast Iron for integration. The solution included mobile apps for clients and delivery drivers, which provided end-to-end supply chain transparency and instant status updates. This eliminated uncertainty, reduced the time to get information from over an hour to instantly, and released administrative staff to focus on building client relationships, delivering significant cost and time efficiencies for Saint-Gobain CPS and its partners.
