A IBM Case Study
GEVA Group, a German payment processing company serving banks, insurers and financial institutions, needed to move from customer-hosted infrastructure to a cloud-based SaaS model as GDPR and other regulations made compliance and data protection harder to manage. To meet these demands, GEVA turned to IBM and IBM Cloud to provide a stable, scalable, compliant platform for its mission-critical payment services.
IBM implemented IBM Cloud Bare Metal Servers for the Oracle database, IBM Cloud Object Storage for redundant storage and backups, and IBM Cloud Virtual Servers for elastic scaling during peak transaction periods. The solution improved failover and data resilience across IBM’s European data centers and supported GEVA’s ability to process millions of transactions per hour during quarter-end and year-end surges, with no downtime or data loss reported.
