Frito-Lay North America digitally empowers employees to delight customers

Frito-Lay North America, part of PepsiCo, needed to modernize its frontline sales and e-commerce tools to better serve more than 300,000 retail stores a week and keep up with growing customer demand. Working with IBM Consulting and IBM’s Salesforce practice, Frito-Lay sought to streamline workflows, improve field visibility, and create a more responsive digital experience for employees and customers.

IBM co-created two Salesforce-based solutions: Snacks to You, an AI-enabled e-commerce platform, and Sales Hub, a mobile app for delivery routes, stock management, and frontline productivity. The results included 30,000 active customers on Snacks to You, fewer out-of-stock scenarios and rush shipments, and real-time operational visibility through Sales Hub, helping Frito-Lay improve scheduling, efficiency, and flexibility.
