Filling open positions faster with Max, an AI-powered recruitment bot

msg, a global IT service provider, needed to speed up hiring as its workforce and open positions grew rapidly, but recruiters were still manually reviewing CVs and matching candidates to hundreds of roles. To address this challenge, msg worked with IBM and IBM Watson technology to create Max, an AI-powered recruitment bot that could guide applicants and help match them to suitable openings.

IBM implemented Max using IBM watsonx Assistant, Watson Discovery, and Watson Natural Language Understanding, hosted on IBM Cloud. The bot asks candidates targeted questions or analyzes uploaded CVs to return relevant jobs, reducing manual work and improving match quality; msg reported a double-digit increase in candidate matching and more than 20% more suitable applications, while also speeding up the application process and lowering hiring costs.
