Case Study: EY achieves sustainability innovation with IBM TechHub@EY

EY’s developers team up to make a real-world difference

EY, working with IBM through the IBM TechHub@EY and a Call for Code sustainability hackathon, challenged its global developer teams to apply technology to real-world environmental problems. The goal was to help employees build skills while creating solutions that could measure and improve sustainability, using IBM’s hybrid cloud and AI tools.

IBM helped EY deliver a cloud-based innovation environment, technical support, and training that enabled more than 1,200 EY developers to contribute and complete 23,000 hours of product-specific learning in four weeks. The result was multiple finalist solutions, including one winner, and stronger global collaboration across EY’s teams, showing measurable impact in both employee engagement and sustainability-focused innovation.
