Equens, a leading European payment processor, faced the challenge of developing new payment functionalities for a key banking client to avoid losing business to competitors. IBM implemented its CICS Transaction Gateway V9 solution, which was proven in a proof-of-concept test run by IBM Global Technology Services. The solution was deployed and integrated within just two months, successfully handling 456,000 transactions daily. This fixed-cost IBM license allowed Equens to quickly adapt the same solution for another client, generating significant new revenue and increasing their return on investment.
