Comtelsat, a systems integrator serving media and entertainment organizations across Mexico and Latin America, needed a faster, more reliable way for government agencies and TV broadcasters to share, manage, and distribute public-service video content. To solve this, Comtelsat turned to IBM Cloud solutions, including IBM Aspera, IBM Cloud Object Storage, and IBM Cloud bare metal servers.

IBM implemented a secure, scalable workflow that lets agencies upload approved videos to a portal, broadcasters access and schedule them quickly, and large video archives move reliably between systems. The results were significant: content distribution became 90% faster, new material could go on air in less than a day, and the platform delivered zero unplanned downtime, while also opening the door to AI-powered captioning and content classification.
