A IBM Case Study
Elpedison, a leading Greek electricity and gas utility, wanted to unlock the value of its customer data but was hindered by siloed systems, inconsistent governance, and difficulty gaining a unified view across operations. Working with IBM, and using IBM Cloud Pak for Data and IBM Knowledge Catalog, the company aimed to centralize and better control data across thousands of database tables and many operational systems.
IBM and its partner Performance Technologies implemented a cloud-native data integration and governance platform on Red Hat OpenShift on IBM Cloud, backed by an Enterprise Data Management Framework. The solution gave Elpedison a 360-degree view of customers, improved data traceability and compliance, and helped teams identify low-quality data and resolve issues faster, supporting better decision-making and customer service across the business.
