A IBM Case Study
Constance Hotels and Resorts, a luxury five-star group headquartered in Mauritius, needed to maintain consistent, high-quality guest experiences as it expanded across islands with high staff turnover and limited connectivity. To solve this, the company partnered with IBM and adopted IBM Connections Cloud and IBM Verse to create a social business network that could deliver training, mentoring and collaboration across geographically dispersed teams.
IBM configured a hybrid deployment of IBM Connections Cloud (with on‑premises support where needed) and IBM Verse, turning employees’ mobile devices into a corporate social network and enabling communities, videos, wikis and tracked schedules. The IBM solution united distant staff, reduced travel for training, accelerated time-to-market (for example, a consultants’ kids’ club program and training that once took up to three months was developed in under four weeks — 70% faster), and helped employees deliver more consistent, high-quality guest service.
