Case Study: Edison achieves greater efficiency and lower infrastructure costs with IBM Consulting

Edison (part of EDF Group) successfully implements SAP S/4HANA, SAP Ariba and SAP BTP on AWS

Edison, part of EDF Group and one of Europe’s oldest energy providers, needed to modernize its SAP landscape, migrate applications to the cloud, and reduce infrastructure costs while improving efficiency and innovation. To support this transformation, Edison worked with IBM Consulting to move toward SAP S/4HANA, SAP Ariba, and SAP BTP on AWS.

IBM implemented a hybrid migration and process modernization program across procurement, finance, asset management, logistics, HR, and analytics, using partner tools from SNP and Panaya to improve assessment, testing, and migration planning. The project finished on time and within budget in February 2023, delivering lower infrastructure costs, greater flexibility, streamlined user experience, and improved capabilities such as dashboards, visual analytics, and end-to-end monitoring.
