A IBM Case Study
Edarat Group, a Saudi Arabia-based data center and ICT firm, needed a way to offer hybrid multicloud services while keeping sensitive customer data in-country to meet local data sovereignty rules. The company turned to IBM and IBM Cloud Satellite to extend its private cloud services with public cloud capabilities without compromising security or availability.
IBM implemented IBM Cloud Satellite across Edarat Group’s three data centers in Saudi Arabia in just two weeks, enabling the company to deliver PaaS on top of its existing IaaS offering and access IBM Cloud services such as Red Hat OpenShift on IBM Cloud and IBM Cloud Paks. The result was a more flexible, scalable local cloud platform with international capabilities, giving Edarat Group a competitive advantage and helping customers modernize faster with simpler lift-and-shift migration and lower infrastructure and licensing costs.
