Drugs.com provides trusted, unbiased medical information on more than 24,000 medications, but its scale and performance needs are demanding, with up to 50 million monthly web visits and a strong requirement for reliable infrastructure and support. Since 2011, IBM Cloud Bare Metal Servers and IBM Cloud Virtual Servers have powered its site, and Drugs.com also relies on IBM Micromedex with Watson for source content.

IBM helped Drugs.com maintain fast, stable service by hosting its production systems on dedicated IBM Cloud Bare Metal Servers and supporting services on IBM virtual machines. After a 2020 migration to a new IBM data center, Drugs.com doubled performance on each server and created room for growth, while keeping page download times under 1 second and benefiting from responsive IBM support.
