Case Study: Global Payment Services (GPS) achieves faster transaction processing and scalable growth with IBM Power Systems

A IBM Case Study

Preview of the Global Payment Services - GPS Case Study

Driving growth and innovation with a powerful architecture

Global Payment Services (GPS), one of the largest third-party payment processors in the Middle East, was struggling to keep its data center aligned with rapid transaction growth and an ambitious expansion plan. Working with IBM and IBM Business Partner GBM, GPS needed a more powerful, flexible, and secure infrastructure to support higher volumes, compliance demands, and future growth.

IBM helped GPS refresh its data center with IBM Power Systems hardware, including IBM Power System S924 servers with POWER9 technology and IBM PowerVM virtualization. The new architecture improved processing efficiency, strengthened high availability, and reduced database licensing costs, delivering about a 50% drop in financial transaction processing times and eliminating the monthly downtime GPS had previously experienced.
