A IBM Case Study

Preview of the Fleet Hire Services Case Study

Driving first-in-class rental experiences with smarter content management

Fleet Hire Services, a UK vehicle rental provider with a fleet of more than 11,500 vehicles, was struggling to manage huge volumes of paper-based information such as rental agreements, invoices, repair records, and penalty notices. Working with IBM partner Open Connections, the company needed a more efficient way to capture, store, and use content across its growing back-office operations.

IBM implemented enterprise content management solutions including IBM Datacap, IBM FileNet Content Manager, and IBM Content Navigator to automate document capture, centralize records, and connect them with Fleet Hire Services’ rental and accounting systems. The results included saving about GBP 14,400 annually through better vehicle management, reducing manual invoice processing, improving workflow visibility, and freeing staff to focus more on customer service and profitable growth.
