A IBM Case Study
VKB Group, a major German public insurer, faced challenges in its software development lifecycle due to inefficient testing. Their nightly tests, which used very large data volumes, often failed to complete, harming developer productivity and slowing down the release of new functionalities. To optimize and streamline its software testing, VKB Group sought a solution from IBM.
With help from IBM, the insurer deployed IBM InfoSphere Optim Test Data Management and IBM InfoSphere Optim Data Privacy. This solution enabled testers to work with smaller, standardized data sets, which accelerated testing cycles. The implementation resulted in significantly reduced storage and CPU costs for the testing environment, faster completion of test runs, and a more agile development process, ultimately allowing VKB Group to accelerate the release of new functionalities.
