DOMINION, an international services provider that became independent after spinning off from its parent company in 2017, needed a new financial consolidation system to manage four years of data, support a complex multi-company structure, and keep pace with frequent mergers, acquisitions, and multiple currencies. The company turned to IBM Cognos Controller software to replace its inherited processes and gain a more autonomous IT platform for consolidation.

IBM implemented IBM Cognos Controller with support from IBM Business Partner LKS Financial Solutions & Corporate, automating DOMINION’s legal consolidation process and helping integrate data from 100 group companies. As a result, DOMINION now closes consolidation on the fourth working day of each month, gains faster and more reliable reporting, and has greater flexibility to adapt to organizational changes.
