Banco Popular faced growing compliance demands, rising costs, and time-consuming manual processes that kept staff from focusing on higher-value work. To address this, the bank worked with IBM and used IBM Robotic Process Automation with Automation Anywhere to begin automating repetitive tasks in a scalable hybrid cloud environment.
IBM implemented the RPA solution to streamline manual workflows while integrating with on-premises systems for security-sensitive functions. The result was a 90% reduction in process completion times, cutting one process from about 10 minutes to about 10 seconds, and Banco Popular has since built a backlog of about 100 processes to automate.
