Data Action hosts an IBM QRadar SIEM solution on high-performance IBM FlashSystem storage

Data Action, a technology provider for challenger banks and financial services, needed to refresh an end-of-life SIEM platform to better handle high-volume security monitoring, compliance, and forensic analysis. After evaluating the market, Data Action chose IBM QRadar SIEM, hosted in a virtualized VMware environment and backed by IBM FlashSystem storage to improve ingestion, search, and incident response performance.

IBM implemented the new solution with QRadar running on dedicated virtual appliances and IBM FlashSystem 7200 storage using FlashCore technology. The result was a major speed boost for security analytics: common queries dropped from minutes to seconds, and some investigations that previously took hours were reduced to minutes, improving triage, response, and overall security operations.
