Case Study: Jenzabar achieves lower costs, reduced complexity and new business growth with IBM Cloud

A IBM Case Study

Preview of the Jenzabar Case Study

Cuts complexity and cost in higher education, and creates new business opportunities

Jenzabar, a provider of student‑information systems serving more than 1,300 campuses, faced rising costs and complexity from clients’ legacy on‑prem IT that limited agility and growth. To deliver a scalable, secure SaaS alternative with strict data‑residency controls, Jenzabar selected IBM Cloud and its bare metal, storage and networking services as the foundation for its managed offerings.

Using IBM Cloud bare metal servers, IBM Cloud block and file storage, IBM Cloud Direct Link and VMware-based DR, Jenzabar migrated client environments to a private, highly resilient platform and launched backup‑as‑a‑service and disaster‑recovery offerings. The IBM solution cut hardware needs and deployment time (for example provisioning 12 TB in minutes), made SIS affordable for institutions with fewer than 100 students, enabled a start‑up client to grow from 0 to 5,000 students, and leveraged IBM’s 60+ data centers to expand geographically and meet compliance requirements.
