Ctac - Customer Case Study

Ctac, an ICT and cloud services provider, wanted to grow market share by launching tailored hosting services for industries like real estate and retail, including SAP S/4HANA-based offerings. To do that, Ctac needed a platform that could deliver high performance, reliability, and attractive pricing while supporting secure multi-client hosting. IBM Power Systems and IBM Storage were chosen to power the new services.

IBM implemented the solution as a private cloud on IBM Power Systems, IBM PowerVM, IBM PowerVC, and IBM Storage, allowing Ctac to virtualize and securely share infrastructure across customers. The result was a smaller footprint with 96 logical partitions on 10 physical servers, lower management effort at just 8 hours per compute block per month, and efficient servers consuming only 2.6 kilowatts each. These gains helped Ctac offer highly competitive hosting fees and expand into new markets.
