Creating a unique digital experience to capture the moments that matter

The All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC), organizer of the Wimbledon Championships, faced the challenge of maintaining the event's prestigious brand by delivering a second-to-none digital experience to engage a global audience of tennis fans. To achieve this, the AELTC partnered with vendor IBM to transform its digital platform with the goal of providing real-time, context-rich content that would be the definitive online destination for The Championships.

IBM implemented a comprehensive solution leveraging its cloud, analytics, and security technologies, including IBM Bluemix, real-time data streaming, and IBM Watson Engagement Advisor. This adaptive platform delivered personalized content, real-time match insights, and seamless scalability. The results were exceptional: the platform achieved 71 million visits (a 13% increase), connected to 21.1 million unique devices (a 23% increase), and saw a 125% surge in unique mobile visitors, successfully capturing the audience's attention.
