Colombina, the Colombian food producer behind brands of candies, chocolates and baked goods, needed a better way to help retail clients choose the right product mixes and promotions to drive sales. Working with IBM, Colombina prepared to move from SAP ERP to SAP S/4HANA using IBM Rapid Move for SAP S/4HANA and IBM Services, aiming to support more advanced analytics without disrupting critical operations.

IBM implemented the SAP S/4HANA transition, including an IBM HANA Impact Assessment, new high-performance IBM infrastructure, and financing support to keep the project moving. The results included a switchover completed in just two days, 3 TB less data to migrate, plant planning and management reporting 12x faster, invoicing reports 97% faster, and an 8% increase in revenues, while reducing the database from 22 TB to 5.8 TB.
