A IBM Case Study
The City of Tyler needed to improve public safety, service delivery, and data-driven decision-making while keeping citizens safe and maintaining privacy and transparency. To meet these goals, the city turned to IBM and IBM FlashSystem 7200, working with IBM Business Partner Mark III Systems to modernize its data infrastructure and better use real-time information across departments.
IBM implemented a central data platform using IBM Cloud for VMware technology and IBM flash storage, creating a hybrid multicloud storage architecture. As a result, Tyler dramatically improved access to data and hundreds of terabytes of video, strengthened threat detection to reduce security risks, and cut fire department map rendering time from 15 minutes to just a few seconds.
