Chemicals manufacturer targets tighter global integration with IBM

Polynt, a global chemicals manufacturer operating in 16 countries, needed to improve collaboration across businesses, reduce infrastructure costs, and prepare its SAP ERP environment for a future move to SAP S/4HANA. Its aging on-premises systems in Europe and Asia were nearing end of life, and Polynt wanted a more reliable, scalable platform with less manual management. IBM helped Polynt address these challenges with IBM Cloud and SAP-related migration support.

Using IBM Cloud bare metal servers and IBM-managed services, Polynt moved its SAP ERP systems to the cloud with no disruption for users. IBM also enabled faster provisioning, with new environments available in minutes and up to 78% faster than before, while reducing operational work and costs. The company now has automated backups through IBM Cloud Object Storage and a more scalable foundation for its SAP S/4HANA journey.
