Energy Market Company (EMC), operator of Singapore’s wholesale electricity market, needed to maintain zero downtime and high resilience for its National Electricity Market of Singapore trading platform while managing a technology refresh and growing demand. The pandemic and supply-chain delays added pressure, making uninterrupted operations critical for EMC’s 24/7 energy trading service.
IBM implemented an upgrade using IBM Power10, along with IBM Process Automation Manager, to modernize EMC’s IT infrastructure and trading platform. IBM kept systems running without disruption during the transition and completed the first phase of the upgrade within nine months. The result was higher performance, scalability, and availability, helping EMC reduce maintenance costs, lower total cost of ownership, and better support future transaction growth.
